This is a great sound book to introduce kids to blues music. There is a mix of song with and without lyrics. Each page has a short write up explaining to kids what they're hearing and the imagery its evoking. There's also a prompt to get kids involved with what they're hearing.My 1 yr old figured out how to press for the sound after watching us once. My 3 and 4 yr old really love the activity prompts (after I read it to them) and now remembers what "to do" when they listen on their own.This one is probably my favorite out of the all the other sound books from Pirouette Kids. It's not the cheapest book, but I think the amount of enjoyment my kids are getting out of this is worth it.

I love the book but introduces my precious little one to a genre of music that she wouldn’t typically be exposed to (being a part Jamaican, part Kenyan baby). I hold her little finger and let her press the play buttons. I hope it lasts until she’s able to press and play herself. And the music is very soothing. I would recommend.

I bought this for my grand nephew for his Birthday, as he LOVED the Classical one I had sent him earlier. Well, this one is a hit too, he played it, dances to it and smiles the entire time. Amazing that a one year old can get the beat down so well. Have already bought the Folk one for Christmas and then the last one will be World Music. Maybe there will be more in the future?? Hope so. I have spread the word to everyone!!

Wildly cute. Great illustrations, sound is excellent, great board book size for chubby little baby hands. Our 1yo loves to dance and is already boppin' along to the songs. If you're a music house, I highly recommend the I-Discover books to give your baby some control over the sounds they get to hear. I love seeing which page he keeps going back to.
We love how different this book is from others we’ve seen. The blues songs are soulful and fun, and the illustrations are super fun. It’s the kind of book that grows with your child, our toddler likes pushing the buttons now, and I know he'll appreciate the music even more as she gets older. A must-have for little music lovers!
